Rahul is responsible for generating actionable consumer insights for the Content Marketing Group and for setting the advertising sales strategy for the group.
He has delivered Asia's first Return Path Data-driven Television Audience Measurement (TAM) system. The new TAM system, DTAM, fuses viewership data from Astro’s set-top-boxes with FMCG purchase data, and provides advertisers the ability to take better business decisions in a tough economy.
Prior to joining Astro, Rahul was the COO for one of India’s newest daily newspapers, Mail Today. He has also worked with Mindshare Malaysia where he was Managing Director as well as stints with Mudra Communications, MPG India, Ogilvy & Mather and Indian Express.
