M. Perreault began his career in the Television/distribution industry at Vidéotron Ltd. the largest French broadcaster and cable operator in Canada. He left Videotron to be part of the team that launched The Weather Network/MétéoMédia on September 1st 1988. Luc Perreault is currently VP Global Distribution & Government Relations at Pelmorex Media Inc., the parent company of The Weather Network and MétéoMédia which are among the top media brands in Canada as their TV services are available in almost every home via cable, satellite and Telco distributors and market leaders in the multi-platform digital market including, web, smartphones and tablets. Pelmorex has been licensed by the Canadian Government to operate Canada's National Alerting Aggregation and Dissemination System (NAADS) which aggregates and distributes emergency alerts issued by authorized government agencies. In 2012 Pelmorex added, Spain's leading multi-platform weather-related information service to its lineup and the California-based Beat The Traffic service as a complement to its’ weather services. Pelmorex Media Inc. has been named one of Canada's 50 Best Managed Companies for seven consecutive years. M. Perreault also served in Industry Associations at senior levels such as: Vice–president of the Board of the Canadian Association of Broadcasters Member of the Executive Committee of the Canadian Association of Broadcasters President of the Canadian Committee against Piracy President of the ACRTF (Association Canadienne des Radio & Télédiffuseurs de Langue Française)
