Jason Blackwell, Director of the Strategy Analytics Service Provider Strategies service (SPS), has more than fifteen years of experience in market strategy development, research and consulting. His experience in digital home topics includes coverage of service providers, broadband, consumer electronics, mobile devices, home networking and content. Mr. Blackwell has extensive experience working with Service Provider and vendor clients alike.
As Director of SPS, his research focus is on competitive intelligence and strategies of the world’s major Pay TV, Broadband, and Telecom Service Providers.
Prior to joining Strategy Analytics, Mr. Blackwell held the role of Practice Director, Digital Home at ABI Research. Previously, he co-founded S2 Data Corporation, where he produced market research and organized industry events in the areas of mobile digital television, IPTV and digital media in the home for clients in the US and Taiwan.
Jason has also held the positions of Market Research Analyst and later Director, Operations and End-Market Research at Semico Research Corp in Phoenix, Arizona, where he directed the efforts of ten semiconductor industry analysts, managing data and analysis for more than 60 semiconductor application markets.
He has been widely published in technology media, and has addressed a number of major industry conferences and events.
Jason earned his BS in management and an MBA from Arizona State University, and holds a Master of International Management degree from the Thunderbird School of Global Management.
