Adrian Jezina

Adrian Jezina was appointed member of Vipnet’s Management Board in April 2012 responsible for multimedia, cloud and fixed access. In July 2014 he takes over the position of Vipnet Chief Technology Officer.
Jezina assumed this position after Vipnet’s acquisition of B.net in August 2011, where he served as President of the Board and CEO from 2006. B.net, the largest cable operator in Croatia, was acquired by Vipnet for 93 million EUR and this was the largest ever transaction between two Croatian companies. By combining synergies and best practices of the two companies, Vipnet was recently able to become a fully convergent telecom operator, launching five-play services. At the start of 2014, Jezina assumed additional position of Chief Multimedia & Fixed Services Officer at Mtel.

Prior to this, in 2002, Jezina joined DCM, which, under his leadership, grew to become Croatia’s largest cable operator with its value increasing significantly. In 2007 Jezina led a successful sale of DCM to BEWAG (Austrian utility holding). The sales process was led by CAIB. BEWAG also acquired the second largest cable operator in Croatia, Adriatic Cable, and merged it into DCM, which was later branded as B.net.

Adrian Jezina was educated at the University of Split, Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture, where he received his degree in Electrical Engineering, while he received his master’s degree at the Faculty of Economics and Business in Zagreb. In 2009, he earned his MBA at the Cotrugli Business School in Zagreb. He started his career at Ericsson in 2000 and, from the very beginning of his professional career, one business success has followed another. This was recognized by the Croatian Managers’ Association, which granted Jezina the “Manager of the Year” award in 2010.

Jezina had a successful 10-year career playing professional water polo and currently sits on the Board of Directors of the Croatian Water Polo Federation. In 2013, at the Annual Assembly of the Croatian Employers' Association (CEA), Adrian Jezina was appointed as a President of the CEA - ICT Association.
